Jeanne was the first in our family to become a licensed Realtor in the spring of 1968. She worked for Hartwick Realty in Edina. Daycare was almost unknown in the 60’s, so on nights and weekends she found homes for buyer in similar situations. The state allowed homeowners to carry contract for deeds, which opened up financing and cut out the many hurdles of securing a new mortgage and a month of waiting. It was a great time for creative financing and it became an investor’s dream. It appeared that overnight the homes she sold in the $20,000 range nearly doubled in value. The thrill of seeing clients realize such quick equity gain was very gratifying. Today, in addition to selling real estate, Jeanne is our staging consultant. The staging service, maximizing a home’s appearance for sale, is exclusive for our clients. Her experience with decorating models and existing homes has earned significant dividends for builders and homeowners. |
